Environmental Justice

Environmental justice is a principal that combines civil rights with environmental protection. Environmental justice is an important part of the struggle to improve and maintain a clean and healthy environment, especially for communities who have been forced to live, work, and play closest to sources of pollution.

Law and policy tie closely with environmental justice, though there are many ways you can get involved. An organization may be primarily focused on environmental justice, like Earthjustice and Climate Justice Alliance, or you may find roles that allow you to explore these topics as part of a larger mission.
