Truist Academy

The Truist Leadership Academy (co-sponsored with the Ridley Scholars Program) is a fully-funded, immersive, living and learning experience designed to support African-American/Black students and open to all UVA students who have a passion for inclusion and equity. The program supports students in exploring their career interests and growing their leadership skills. Through this cohort-based program, 25 students from a variety of academic backgrounds will build relationships, gain hands-on skill development from industry professionals, and receive mentorship. The program features career development and networking opportunities beginning in April with a cohort welcome dinner, a weeklong industry immersion experience in May, and individual career exploration sessions. During the weeklong immersion in May, students will get to stay in a hotel with friends in Charlotte, NC, deepen relationships with one-another through shared meals and meaningful conversations, and build a community of support that will extend far beyond this program.

There is no cost to participate in this program!
