Alumni Spotlight

Kelly Monroe

Kelly Monroe, a Consultant at KCIC, graduated from UVA in 2020 with a degree in Statistics and Economics. Kelly volunteered as a certified Volunteer Income Tax Assistant through Madison House’s Creating Assets, Savings, and Hope (C.A.S.H.) program and was also a member of Madison House’s Cavs in the Classroom program. Kelly worked as a Teaching Assistant for Introduction to Statistical Analysis (STAT 2120) and Introduction to Data Science with Python (STAT 1602). Kelly also worked as a cashier at Take it Away sandwich shop and was a member of the Cavalytics Club. Kelly joined KCIC in June of 2020. She works across multiple client teams and has gained valuable experience in data management and analytics, financial reporting, and complex insurance allocation methodology. She has particularly enjoyed the technical aspects of her role and uses SQL, Excel, PowerBI, and other tools to analyze clients’ data. She has enjoyed KCIC’s friendly, social, and driven atmosphere. Kelly has also appreciated KCIC’s commitment to being a teaching organization, and she has been able to learn through the guidance of other consultants and senior members on her teams.

Robert Parish

Robert Parrish, a manager at KCIC, graduated in 2011 with a B.A. in History and Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia and attended the McIntire School of Commerce where he obtained a M.S. in Commerce in 2012. At UVA, Robert was involved with the Cavalier Daily and the University Judiciary Committee. At KCIC, Robert partners with clients to deliver technology-driven solutions. Leveraging KCIC’s Ligado platform, an in-house developed claims management platform, he helps clients with the management and maintenance of large volumes of claim data. He also has expertise in the areas of insurance allocation modeling, the management and analysis of defense costs, and proving underlying insurance policy exhaustion on behalf of policy holders. Mr. Parrish was previously with Navigant Consulting in Navigant’s Legal Technology Solutions group. Leveraging various technological tools, Mr. Parrish managed and analyzed large datasets on behalf of clients in the financial services, mortgage servicing, and energy sectors.
