Altria is a FORTUNE 200 company whose wholly owned subsidiaries include leading manufacturers of both combustible and smoke-free products. In combustibles, we own Philip Morris USA Inc. Our smoke-free portfolio includes ownership of U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company LLC (USSTC), the leading global moist smokeless tobacco (MST) manufacturer, Helix Innovations LLC (Helix), a leading manufacturer of oral nicotine pouches, and NJOY, LLC (NJOY), currently the only e-vapor manufacturer to receive market authorizations from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for a pod-based e-vapor product.

Additionally, we have a majority-owned joint venture, Horizon Innovations LLC (Horizon), for the U.S. marketing and commercialization of heated tobacco stick products and, through a separate agreement, we have the exclusive U.S. commercialization rights to the IQOS Tobacco Heating System® and Marlboro HeatSticks® through April 2024. Ellie Westermann graduated from the University of Virginia in 2020 with a major in Economics and minor in Social Entrepreneurship. She began working as an intern in Financial Planning and Analysis supporting Altria Client Services over the Summer of 2019. From there, Ellie worked as an Associate Analyst supporting PM USA Sales & Margin for a year and an Analyst in Financial Planning & Analysis supporting PM USA Manufacturing. She currently holds the position of a Senior Financial Analyst supporting USSTC Manufacturing, specifically their Nashville facility. Ellie enjoys working at Altria because this company has a corporate culture where everyone is supportive, welcoming, and celebrates your successes. Ellie's piece of advice to UVA students beginning recruitment this year is to take time to speak to employees at each company you’re interested in and make sure you think it’s a good fit. She found career fairs to be very helpful as they allowed real time conversations with young employees to learn about their experiences and building a network is very important to have a great start to your career.
