UVA Career Center

Laura DelPrato’s personal mission is to inspire people to discover and pursue their passions. At the UVA Career Center, she coaches students to clarify their interests, skills, and values so they can explore meaningful work opportunities at UVA and beyond. She oversees the Virginia Alumni Mentoring community and experiential learning initiatives to help students build skills and relationships that support their development.  

Prior to joining the UVA Career Center in June 2015, Laura worked at the Disney Learning Center where she provided a welcoming environment and educational services to students from universities around the world.

Laura graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Master in Applied Positive Psychology and from the University of Richmond with a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership Studies. In her free time she likes to play guitar and light paint, an interactive art that involves recording the movement of light through long-exposure photography.
