Jacob Hirtz

Employer Accounts and Events Manager

Jacob serves as an Employer Accounts and Events Manager in the UVA Career Center. This role involves working with employers in the consulting and finance sectors to help make meaningful connections through strategic recruitment planning and partnerships. Jacob coordinates and executes logistics for on-Grounds interviews, employer events, and career fairs.

Before joining the career center in August 2021, Jacob served in the military as a member of the Special Operations community. He is now passionate about building relationships with employers to help connect students and ease their transition into First Destination employment.

Originally from the Central Virginia area, Jacob attended the Virginia Military Institute and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in History.
