Assistant Director in the Business, Technology & Entrepreneurship Community
As an Assistant Director for Business, Technology and Entrepreneurship, Drew is responsible for providing career services programming on a wide variety of topics, such as: writing targeted resumes and cover letters, business career exploration, navigating the internship and job search process and more. He works individual with students of all years and disciplines to assist in their career development.
Prior to joining the UVA Career Center in September 2018, Drew was a Career and Academic Advisor at James Madison University, where he focused on academic advising for Undeclared students as well as career support for the College of Arts and Letters. As a part of his role, he taught a one credit hour career exploration course and developed relationships with faculty to identify targeted support by major. He is passionate about developing relationships with students through all stages of the career exploration process.
Drew graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Studies. He also holds a Master of Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of South Carolina. Outside of work he enjoys watching international soccer, reading Harry Potter and spending time with his wife Jesslyn.
