Assistant Director, Business Classes
As the Assistant Director for Business, Technology & Entrepreneurship: Business Classes, Amy is primarily working with students interested in pursuing opportunities in the world of business, technology and entrepreneurship. She also coordinates the Business Labs that take place in January and May. Additionally, she is a general career counselor on topics ranging from career exploration to job search strategies and the transition to life after college.
Prior to joining the UVA Career Center in August 2018, Amy was the Assistant Director for Community Engagement at Madison House, where she worked on leadership development programming and helping students engage in the Charlottesville Community through meaningful volunteer experiences. In this position, Amy worked one-on-one with student leaders, helping them not only run their volunteer programs but also grow and develop professionally. She is passionate about helping all students develop themselves both professionally and holistically. Amy hopes to help students determine a career path that will excite them every morning before work!
Amy is a University of Alabama undergraduate alum and a University of Virginia graduate alum. She has an adorable cat Layla that she loves very much and if Amy is not working with UVA students, she’s teaching a different group of students at FlyDog Yoga, where she teaches Barre!
