Favorite Thing about Being a Career Peer Educator: Is being able to acquire and share information about the resources, career fairs, and informational events the UVA Career Center has to offer. From experience, I can say that the UVA Career Center goes through great lengths to create valuable resources to cater to the needs of its diverse student body. As a liaison between the Career Center and the student body, I enjoy preparing students to meet their educational and career goals. There is nothing better than hearing what a student needs, giving them the resources to tackle their pressing issues, and seeing their faces light up when they realize they are on the right path.

Why Global Initiatives? Since I was 10 years old, I dreamed of traveling the world to experience new cultures and learn about their history. As a result, being a CPE with Global Initiatives was a no brainer. Last spring, I got a chance to study abroad and travel around Europe. It was a great way to experience new cultures, music, food, and people. I would recommend that every student has at least one global experience. Also, there multiple ways to receive funding and you can find out more by visiting the Career Center! I am happy to share my experience and encourage students to go global!

Future Plans: I plan to go into the workforce and go on domestic and international adventures in between! I would like to learn Twi and French along the way.

Fun Fact: My favorite city is a tie between London & Nice!
