AFFIRM’s 2019 Information Technology Career Workshop and Shadow Day

The Association for Federal Information Resources Management (AFFIRM) invites University of Virginia students to the AFFIRM’s 2019 Information Technology Career Workshop and Shadow Day occurring on Friday, April 12, 2019.

This program is free to students and academic faculty & staff, and it will provide a firm grounding to prospective students interested in a career in the Federal workforce. The students will hear from panels of senior government officials as they talk about the various careers in the information technology, Federal Agency missions, and the types of positions offered.

AFFIRM is a non-profit, volunteer, educational organization whose overall purpose is to improve the management of information and related systems and resources, within the Federal government and academia. In addition, AFFIRM is a government/industry partner to the Federal CIO Council Workforce Committee whose mission is to create an effective and efficient workforce that enables Agency mission success.
