The University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science (UMCES) invites applications for the positions: Web Content Specialist and User Experience Analyst. The UMCES takes pride in leading the way toward better management of Maryland's natural resources and the protection of the Chesapeake Bay. Using their laboratories across the state, employees work to provide sound advice to help state and national officials manage the environment and prepare future scientists to meet the global challenges of the 21st century.

A successful candidate for the Web Content Specialist should be interested in working with dynamic teams and have great communication skills. In particular, those persons will work with the Chesapeake Bay Program (CBP) staff at its office in Annapolis, Maryland and will be responsible for developing audience-focused content which tracks the progress towards the goals and outcomes of the Chesapeake Bay Watershed Agreement. The Chesapeake Bay program maintains several websites as a primary method of informing citizens and stakeholders about Chesapeake Bay protection and restoration efforts. Thus, the user experience is pivotal to their communication and advocacy. A successful candidate for the User Experience Analyst position will work closely with the Chesapeake Bay Restoration Web team and will conduct user experience research and design products for web and print.
