Victoria accepts that art is simply “what makes her heart sing” and she wants to help students realize their spark and chase after it.

Goal as a CPE: “I want to use my experiences to help students feel less alone in navigating the daunting career process. My goal is to help people once like me, who walk into the Career Center in full-blown crisis mode and have no idea what they’re doing. I hope to show them that chasing after dreams it isn’t just an idea entertained by supportive parents, but something that’s absolutely real.”

Connection to the Arts: “Art is simply what ‘makes my heart sing.’ I took a few visual art classes in high school and fell in love with ceramics/sculpture. I've always had a creative streak, but to me, art was initially just a hobby. I never truly understood or accepted my identity as artist until I got to college. But then, I found a lot of like-minded, weird, creative people who couldn’t seem live a single day without art. It was within this community that I found where I belong.”

Plans for the future: “We’ll see. More recently, I’ve been interested in outdoor recreation or art therapy with youth. I’m also passionate about designing social programs for youth to improve their educational experiences…Whatever it is that I end up doing, may it be an adventure.”

Fun Fact: “I eat too much mac and cheese.”

Meet with Victoria and talk about your creative passions: Mondays 12:00-1:00 PM in 1515 & Tuesdays 4:00-5:00 PM in Newcomb 170!
