Sales & Business Development Night

Event Overview

Learn about careers in Sales and Business Development from several different companies who are actively recruiting for their business development and account management teams. The event will begin with a welcome address by AlphaSights. After the welcome and event introduction by our sponsor, we will have one-on-one and group conversations where students will have opportunity to network with alumni and industry professionals.

Come and meet recruiters who are eager to interact with students interested in business development roles (both full-time and internship positions). This event is a one stop shop for all things sales and business related. If you want premium access to amazing employers and inside tips on how to break into this industry, this is the event for you!

How do I prepare for the event?

  • Take a look at the list of companies attending, and do a bit of background research on them to have a baseline understanding of what services they provide, what they specialize in, and what positions they’re hiring for. Make a target list of employers that you’d like to engage with and sign up for group and one-on-one sessions, as available. If you’re unable to find an open time slot for group or one-on-one sessions, or run out of time in your own schedule during the night, look to see when companies are hosting Information Sessions and Coffee Chats (these are listed on each firm’s Handshake page), and sign up for one of those. Practice your personal pitch and compile a list of questions for employers (do not ask questions you can easily find the answer to by Googling).

Where do I go if I have questions during the event?

What is the limit on sessions I can attend?

  • There is no limit for this event.

Do I need to have my camera on?

  • No, however if you plan on speaking directly with employers, particularly in one-on-one sessions, having your camera on helps establish a personal connection.

How do I dress for the event?

  • We would recommend dressing for this event as you would for an interview. Business professional attire is recommended to make a good impression on the employer.
