2021 - 2022 Programs 

Propel + Capital One

Students who participate in this virtual project-based learning challenge will learn the basics of business development and growth strategy, gain experience working on a real-world project, build connections with Capital One employees/mentors, and explore career paths at Capital One. Propel + Spring & J-Term 2022 Management Consulting & Strategic Decision-making Course 

This interactive project-based learning course is designed to help students navigate complex and ambiguous problems. Complex problems range from choosing a major or career path to solving world poverty and climate change.  Students will learn strategic complex problem-solving methods commonly used in management consulting and grounded in research from behavioral science including social and cognitive psychology, behavioral economics, and sociology. Propel + UVA LaunchPad

In this immersive program students will gain mentorship and skills in AdobeXD and learn more about careers in user experience (UX) design. Students who participate in this 2.5- week project-based learning challenge will learn the basics of data visualization, gain experience working on a real-world project, build connections with CapTech employees/mentors, and explore career paths related to data visualization. Propel + UVA Career Accelerator

Registration is now closed.

Propel is a new 10-week program designed to provide rising 4th and 3rd year UVA students with an opportunity to participate in team-based projects sourced through employer partners and local Charlottesville start-ups. Projects will address a wide variety of business challenges from market research and marketing strategy, digital transformation, product development, and social entrepreneurship. The full program will run from June 1st - August 7th and is free and open to all majors!
