UVA Career Center

As the Events and Operations Coordinator, Samantha assists with all aspects of the numerous events put on by the UVA Career Center each year. When not planning those events, she takes part in supporting the office as a member of the shared services team. 

Samantha is excited to take part in coordinating events where students can find what they are passionate about and be prepared when they leave UVA to make a positive impact in their surrounding communities. 

Samantha graduated from Furman University in 2016 with a degree in Psychology before diving into secondary education as a teacher and coach. She then continued as a graduate assistant for women’s basketball at William Woods University while she earned her Master’s Degree in Athletic Administration, which she completed in 2020. Before joining the team at UVA in 2023, she was an assistant basketball coach at Post University in Waterbury CT before moving south to serve as the Assistant Athletic Director at the Covenant School here in Charlottesville.

Originally from New England, Samantha loves being outdoors (in warm or cold weather!), being active in the gym or in sports (or just talking about sports), and reading in various coffee shops around Charlottesville!
