Contracted Independent Organizations (CIOs)
CIOs are membership-based, student-governed groups. Currently, there are over 800 groups in the UVA CIO database. The McIntire School of Commerce and the School for Engineering and Applied Science also have their own student organizations. Browse the UVA CIO database.
Accessing Other Student Groups
Go to www.virginia.edu/uvastudents/. Under the heading “Organizations and Councils”, you will find a listing of permanent organizations that are governed by students. These organizations exist to advocate for the interests of the student populations they represent. This is where you will find council groups listed by class and school.
Sponsor Programs and Advertise with UVA Career Center
Reach students who utilize UVA Career Center services by partnering with our office to sponsor career fairs or by advertising in Career Center publications. Contact employer relations at (434)924-8900 for more information.
Run by students, the Cavalier Daily is UVA’s only daily newspaper. Organizations advertise events and recruitment schedules through this publication. Find the Cavalier Daily on the Web.
