Associate Director of Marketing and Communications

As the Associate Director of Marketing and Communications, Amy specializes in developing a digital presence and consumer engagement strategies for brand awareness and customer acquisition. Amy develops marketing strategies for user interaction (UI), social media, search engine optimization (SEO), website structure and functionality, search engine marketing (SEM), and content development. These strategies are maximized based on digital best practices, new technologies, project budget, user feedback, and web analytics.

Amy has extensive experience in marketing and branding, particularly within higher education. Prior to joining the UVA Career Center in October 2014, she developed marketing strategies and directed implementation for Michigan State University, University of Michigan, University of Florida Department of Housing, University of Florida College of Medicine, Disney’s Worldwide Safety and Accessibility, and a Disney ticketing subsidiary company. She presents nationally on marketing and communication trends and has delivered award-winning educational sessions for the Higher Ed Web MI Conference, ACUHO-I Annual Conferences, ACUHO-I Business Conferences, SEAHO Annual Conference, University of Michigan, and University of Florida.

Amy is a University of Florida Business Marketing alum and now lives in Charlottesville, Virginia, with her basset hounds Chauncey Billups and Priscilla Presley.
