As a general career counselor working with the new Exploration Career Community, Jasmine supports students in all stages of career development, focusing specifically on students who might be starting their major and career exploration process. She works with students in one-on-one counseling and advising appointments, Career Exploration Workshops, and various Career Center presentations. She is passionate about engaging students in holistic career exploration, helping students to learn more about themselves and the world of work, clarifying career-related goals, and developing effective strategies for making career-decisions.
Prior to becoming a Career Counselor at the Career Center, Jasmine worked as a Graduate Intern with the Creative Arts, Media, and Design Career Community within the Career Center. Prior to that, she worked on the Career Center's Employer Relations team, supporting the On-Grounds Interview program.
Jasmine studied Communication with a concentration in Public Relations at George Mason University and holds a Master's degree in Higher Education, with a Student Affairs focus, from the University of Virginia. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, having fun with family and friends, and playing with her 2 year old silky terrier, Sophie.
