Assistant Director of Pre-Health and Law Advising

In her role as Assistant Director of Pre-Health and Law Advising, Jessica works with first- through fourth-year students as well as alumni in the preparation and application process to enter their professional program of choice. She is a member of the National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions (NAAHP), Pre-Law Advisors National Council (PLANC), and the National Association of Academic Advisors (NACADA).

Jessica has served in academic and career advising roles since 2010, but also enjoyed a variety of graduate internship experiences in first-year and transfer programs, international student and scholar services, and undergraduate admissions. She brought this multifaceted perspective in higher education to the UVA Career Center in June 2014. While Jessica is passionate about many issues in higher education, the task she finds most rewarding is that of supporting students in the realization and achievement of their personal, academic, and career goals.

Jessica is a native of Cary, North Carolina and came to Charlottesville by way of Knoxville, Tennessee (Go Vols!).  She enjoys graphic design projects, antiquing, hiking and kayaking, and exploring Virginia.
