Pre-Health & Law Advisor
As a Pre-Health and Law Advisor, Sarah works with undergraduate students and alumni pursuing health and law professional programs to navigate all aspects of the preparation and application processes. She hopes to encourage students' meaningful engagement in the pursuit of their pre-health or law career of choice. She is a member of National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions (NAAHP) and the National Association of Academic Advisors (NACADA).
Previously, Sarah was a Graduate Intern in UVA's School of Engineering and Applied Science. In this role, she coordinated the school's Peer Tutor Program, organized the annual Open House, and supported the various needs of engineering undergraduates. Prior to her master's program in Higher Education at UVA's Curry School of Education, she worked as an Medical and Professional Staff Liaison (2015-2017) at Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, Virginia. In this role, she supported healthcare practitioners in the credentialing process to join any of Carilion's seven hospitals. She is most excited about being able to see and support the beginning stages of healthcare practitioners career, while bridging the gap between students and their resources.
Sarah is originally from Cincinnati, OH and attended undergraduate at Ohio University in Athens, OH where she graduated with a degree in psychology and sociology. She graduated from UVA in with a Masters of Higher Education in Student Affairs Practice. She loves watching HGTV and true crime documentaries, hiking, backpacking, spending days on the lake with her two rescue pups, Cooper and Goose.
