VMCAS Fee Reimbursement Program Launched

The VMCAS 2016 Fee Reimbursement Program is sponsored by the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC). A limited number of fee reimbursements are available through this program. Reimbursements are granted to financially disadvantaged applicants on a first-come, first-serve basis, beginning with the Launch of the VMCAS 2016 application cycle (May 13, 2015) and will close once the allotted funds are exhausted. Requests will begin processing on June 15, 2015.

Medical school applicants for the 2015-2016 admissions cycle are invited to join a free webinar on Wednesday, May 27th at 7:00 PM (EST) hosted by the Admissions Team at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Dr. Lina Mehta, Associate Dean for Admissions, and Mr. Christian Essman, Director of Admissions, will provide advice for putting the finishing touches on your application and will share other tips for preparing for the admissions cycle.

Undergraduate Research Opportunity - UVA Medical School Dept of Pathology

The lab of Dr. C John Luckey MD PHD in the UVA Medical School Department of Pathology is interested in recruiting undergraduate researchers who are serious about doing medically relevant basic scientific research. The Luckey Lab works on understanding how cytokines regulate immune responses to foreign cells. Research in the lab is generally focused on understanding how cytokine signals drive immune memory, with a specific interest in the molecular mechanisms by which external signaling events become translated into the genetic programs required for the self-renewal of memory T and B cells.
