Minimum requirement for all positions: 8 hours per week. The internship will take place during the gallery’s regular hours, Tuesday-Friday, 11am-6pm. Interns are also expected to participate and assist during exhibition openings, special events, and public programs.

These are wonderful opportunities for highly motivated students interested in contemporary art to learn about the inner-workings of a gallery under the direction of an art world professional with over 13 years experience in a major New York City art gallery.

Interested candidates should send a resume and cover letter to kristen@secondstreetgallery.org. Candidates interested in the Curatorial Internship position should also submit a short writing sample (preferably from one of their art history classes).

Students who are not able to commit to an 8 hour a week internship, but who are still interested in getting involved at the gallery should fill out the volunteer form.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities and events throughout the year. There is no minimum time commitment for volunteers.
