Design Your Dream Career and Find Work that Matters
Finding Work that Matters: A Career Design Workshop for UVA Undergraduates
The thought of finding a job feels totally overwhelming. You want to do work that matters, but you’re stuck on where to start and feeling pressure to make decisions.
Figuring out what we want after college requires action, but we usually don’t have the time or the tools to find a clear answer.
Become confident in how you talk about what comes next in a way that gets people to help you succeed.
This hands-on, high-energy workshop will introduce you to a refreshingly fun, step-by-step method to clarify what a meaningful career means to you, discover exciting companies, and stand out in a noisy world.
What you will learn.
· A framework to clarify what you want even with a busy student schedule
· How to test-drive careers without taking big leaps
· Tactics to overcome common obstacles, fears, and anxieties
· Practices to expand your awareness of exciting opportunities
· How to identify and close your skills gaps
· Authentically connect with people who will power your success
This is a training workshop for career counselors and HR professionals and is limited to 15 students on a first-come, first-served basis.
