Become a Multicultural Peer Educator

Hannah Guffey – September 29th, 2017

Multicultural Student Services is proud to introduce the Multicultural Peer Educators program (MPEs). The MPEs will serve as a collaborative and diverse group of students who aim to educate their peers on issues of social justice. As an MPE, you have the opportunity to facilitate impactful conversations at the University of Virginia by highlighting social justice issues, promoting an inclusive community, and expanding cultural competency.

We seek students who are self-aware, actively engaged in social justice advocacy and education, and interested in facilitating discussions around these topics to other students. We welcome applications from rising second-year, third-year, and fourth-year students for the Multicultural Peer Educators program. You can access the form here. Applications are due Friday, October 13th at 11:59pm.

We ask that the new MPEs be available/flexible for the dates below:

  • Candidate Interviews – October 19th, 20th, or 23rd
  • MPE Trainings (2 hour meetings) – Weeks of Oct. 30th, Nov. 6th, 13th, and 27th
