Life After Politics 2017

Halley Trinh – October 13th, 2017

What can you do with a degree in Politics? What is a career in politics like, no matter what subject you major in?

Come and participate in the annual Life After Politics Panel and Speed Mentoring sessions on Friday, October 27th from 11:30AM - 3:00PM in Bryant Hall at Scott Stadium . You can learn more about alumni participants here and be sure to sign up on Handshake!

Program Agenda:

11:30am - 12 pm: Student Registration and Complimentary Lunch

12 - 1:30 pm: Alumni Panel
Engage with alumni from the Department of Politics who will speak on a panel about their career paths and their best career advice for current Politics majors. Panelists work in a wide variety of careers and fields, and students will gain excellent knowledge about what they can do with a Politics degree, as well as the chance to network with alums, faculty, and each other!

1:30 - 3 pm: Flash Mentoring
Alumni from the Politics Department in a wide variety of careers will be available to speak with students in small groups to make connections and answer your individual questions. This is a great way to get to know people who are doing the jobs you want to do in a few years and to learn more about career paths in many fields, especially related to government, policy, humanitarianism, and media!
