March on Washington Film Festival
Calling all Student and Emerging Filmmakers
Submissions are now being accepted for the 2017 March on Washington Film Festival Student and Emerging Filmmaker Competition for short films on Civil Rights and Social Justice. This year, filmmakers are asked to grapple with the following topic: Speaking truth to power.
Whether it is an historic figure, a local hero, a person from your family, or a community facing seemingly insurmountable odds, the wisdom to separate fact from falsehood, the courage to voice a dissenting opinion, and to stand for what is right is the essence of speaking truth to power.
The MOWFF Student and Emerging Filmmaker Competition awards an array of cash and in-kind prizes in the narrative and documentary short film, student and emerging filmmaker categories.

The March on Washington Film Festival takes place July 13-22, 2017 in Washington, D.C.
