Sustainability Skills Courses from the US Green Building Council

Do you have an interest in sustainability?The University of Virginia Office for Sustainability has partnered with the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) as a way for students, faculty, and staff to increase awareness and improve knowledge of sustainability, as well as earn professional credentials. This unlimited online education platform is available to support students across Grounds and further the UVA Sustainability Plan for 2016-2020. As a part of this plan, the Office for Sustainability works to provide professional development opportunities for both students and faculty, with a goal of instilling a strong background and building skills in sustainability. Subscription access to Education @USGBC features more than 600 hours of green building and sustainability education, at no cost to you. This library highlights best-in-class courses and resources to establish a foundational knowledge of green building and sustainability concepts, as well as numerous resources to support those looking to attain and maintain LEED professional credentials. It is free and easy to register; just follow the link here and in the top right corner click “Account,” then “create one.” Fill out the information, and connect to the Member Organization using the UVA Member ID:1784522999104102.
