UVA Museum of Impact is Seeking Your Ideas!

Halley Trinh – April 5th, 2017

The University of Virginia Libraries will be hosting the Museum of Impact (MOI) at UVA in fall 2017.

The Museum of Impact (MOI) inspires action by exploring self, society, art, and activism. MOI partners with local communities, artists, and institutions to bring relevant programs, pop-ups, exhibitions, and interactive experiences that amplify movements of the people and celebrate the human experience. Through its content, education, and outreach, MOI seeks to create a more just, connected, and compassionate society. Visit its website: https://www.museumofimpact.org/

This year, the UVA Libraries would LOVE for students, faculty, staff, and community members to take part in their inaugural week-long MOI celebration entitled The Movement is Rising. The UVA Libraries’ MOI will focus upon two themes: immigration and the environment.

We are specifically looking for individuals and groups to share their time and talents in a variety of formats. For example, you can participate via performances, discussions, art, dance, music, story, food, video, audio, etc. If you have an idea that you would like to showcase via UVA’s MOI exhibition, please email your proposed contribution to me at reginacarter@virginia.edu or to the UVA Libraries MOI Program Manager, Paula Archey, at paulaarchey@virginia.edu.

Let's help make UVA’s inaugural MOI truly memorable!!
