Teach for China is holding an online info session for its 2017-2019 teaching fellowship on April 12th 20:00 EST (17:00 PST). This info session will include:

  •   An overview of the two-year fellowship, including the form it takes and the support the teachers will receive during the two years.
  •   In-depth explanation of how TFC will help its Fellows (teachers) in their future career after the two years.
  •   Presentation by past Fellows about their experience of applying, training, teaching and how they have helped them become a greater person.

Founded in 2008, Teach For China is an education-based, non-profit project launched by the Beijing Lead Future Foundation. The foundation was registered at the Beijing Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau as a non-government foundation; it is also a long-term partner of the China Children and Teenagers' Fund. For years, Teach For China has been recruiting, training, and sending young talents (mainly graduate students of that year) as full-time Fellows (teachers) to areas with limited educational resources to engage in a 2-year teaching at elementary schools and middle schools. Since 2008, Teach For China has sent approximately 1,000 fellows to areas that face shortages of educational resources. They were distributed to over 220 primary and middle schools in the Yunnan, Guangdong, Guangxi and Gansu provinces.

The requirements for applying for our fellowship includes:

  •   Receiving a bachelor’s degree (or above) before July, 2017
  •   Fluent in mandarin
