Cooperated with Nanjing International Youth Exchange Program (NIYEP), 2017 July’s “China Insight” Trek’ s theme is “A tale of two cities”. It will start on July 3rd in Nanjing and finish on July 21th in Beijing. During the trip, we will spend 2 weeks in Nanjing, the capital of Jiang Su Province, and the rest time in Beijing, the capital of China.
This trek will combine a good amount of high-level official events and corporate internships with typical cultural and leisure activities, such as visiting historical places of interests. You will have the opportunity to interact with a diverse range of people and get an insider’s perspective of the "real" China, especially its business environment.
Just to give you a quick taste of what you will get:
- Interaction with high-level Chinese government officials
- In-depth economics seminar with top-notched academics and businessmen
- Shadowing opportunities of the daily work of companies’ senior executive and frontline worker to understand business environment in China
- Onsite visit to State-Owned Enterprises (SOE), private enterprises and rural countries in China
- Chinese family visit & dinner
- World-renowned tourist attractions: the Great Wall, the Forbidden City and the Confucius temple
- Authentic local delicacies: Peking duck and Nanjing delicacies
- 1 on 1 Chinese study buddy to help you understand China better
English-speaking tour guides will be available during the trip. In addition, we will pair 1 trekker with 1 Chinese volunteer to help you know China better in Nanjing.
The cost of the trip, which is generously partially subsidized by our local hosts, is about $2500 per person, which NOT includes international flight, but includes meals, domestic transportation, double occupancy at hotels, tips to tour guides, attraction tickets, etc. You are also required to obtain your visa to China (about $140 for US citizens, US$30 for non-US citizens), and purchase any necessary medical / emergency insurance.
Our application deadline is 11:59 PM on April 30th, 2017
To ensure a high-quality experience, we intend to limit the number of attendees. If you are interested, we strongly encourage you to apply ASAP through this link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdCloBTz1zZk6cUUDVV4NpNAOWyRs4ZEL9pQsOlxNh3NE6nag/viewform.
