China Insight Trek: A Tale of Two Cities

We would like to invite you to the “China Insight” Trek this coming July, with a focus on business and economy.

Held by World Youth Development Forum, “China Insight” Trek has been hold for over 10 years. In the past, we visited the State Council, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Commerce, Development and Reform Commission, the Bank of China, Alibaba, Didi, etc. We also met many high-level state and business leaders, such as the Vice Premier of PRC, the Governor of People’s Bank of China, Vice President of Alibaba, Vice President of China Development Bank; etc.

COMM 1559 Exploring the World of Business

UVA Career Center – April 13th, 2017

The Career Center’s Business Community is partnering with the Comm School to offer a 1-week long, 1 credit course in Washington D.C. to help students explore the world of business through company visits, alumni mentors, and hands-on cases.  This course is a residential course in DC. Students will be housed at Catholic University. Due to the case projects and evening assignments, students are required to stay in housing provided through UVA. There is a $650 course fee that includes all room and board associated with the course.

CONGRATULATIONS, fourth year! You have made it to your FINAL YEAR at UVA and you’re  almost at the home stretch. Cheers to you, Young Scholar.

Didn't Get Into Your Major of Choice? Don't Worry!

Speaking from experience, not getting into your major of choice may seem like the end of the world BUT it is not. I know many of you have heard, “Major does not equal career”. This statement could not be truer. Declaring a major is only one part of your career path and through your major you take classes that interest you. Because you are taking classes that interest you, your GPA can only improve and you will gain transferable skills (e.g improving written communication, public speaking, etc).
