Career counseling can help guide you with every aspect of career exploration and development. Meet with an experienced career counselor in a one-on-one session. Schedule an appointment to clarify career goals, develop an action plan, or enhance search strategies for internships or jobs.
Make an appointment with a career counselor or pre-health and law advisor to discuss major or career choices, resume and cover letter writing techniques, internship and job search strategies, complete a mock interview or to interpret your Strong Interest Inventory or Myers Briggs Type Indicator assessment results.

The UVA Career Center serves all degree-seeking students, regardless of major or year. Students in the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy, McIntire School of Commerce, Curry School of Education, Department of Economics, and School of Engineering and Applied Sciences can also use career counseling services offered through those schools. Masters and Ph.D. students in the College of Arts & Sciences can schedule an appointment with the Graduate Career Development Office in the Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs.
Darden School of Business, Law school, and Medical school students should seek counseling from their own career services offices. The UVA Career Center does NOT serve students in the School of Continuing and Professional Studies, with the exception of Bachelor of Independent Studies students.
UVA Career Center provides services and Handshake to undergraduates for one semester after they graduate.

Alumni Career Services is available to all UVA alumni upon graduation. Please note that Graduate and Professional School Advisors at the UVA Career Center provide application assistance for alumni applying to health professions schools (medical, dental, physician assistant, etc.).
